CONFESSIONS DURING LENT
An opportunity for confession will be available every Wednesday evening during Lent from 7:00 PM � 8:00 PM. We hope that this added time will allow you another opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Please join us for Stations of the Cross, followed by Benediction, every Friday evening at 7:00 PM beginning Friday, February 22^nd.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is every Friday from 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM.

New Parishioners: Invited to register in the parish as soon as possible after moving into the parish. Please call the rectory at the number above to make an appointment.

Rectory Business Hours: Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Marriage: Archdiocesan policy expects six months or more between the first interview with the parish priest and the actual date of the wedding. Couples usually reserve their date and the church about a year in advance.

Sick Calls: Parishioners who are housebound, permanently or temporarily, are visited by the parish priest and Eucharistic Ministers on a regular basis. Anyone in the parish who would want or need this ministry is invited to make arrangements by calling the rectory. Emergency sick calls are attended to immediately.

A recently enacted law has affected the longstanding practice of hospitals and nursing facilities to provide information to churches about parishioners who are patients/residents. Because of this new law, the priests and the staff in the Parish office may not promptly learn, or may not learn at all, that a member of the Parish has been admitted to a hospital. If you, or a member of your family, are hospitalized, and you want the Parish office to know, please personally contact the office and identify the patient, the hospital and the room number. Because all area hospitals may not have the same policies allowing the priest of the parish to know when members are patients, direct notice to the Parish from you or your family is a better approach. If you will be undergoing elective surgery, please call the rectory in advance to receive the Sacrament of the Sick (Anointing). Emergency calls will be handled at all times.

Baptism: The Sacrament of Baptism is held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month at 12:00 noon. Arrangements must be made at least 2 weeks in advance at the Rectory. One godparent must be Catholic. If you want another godparent, that godparent can be baptized Christian from another denomination.

Adult Religious Education: R.C.I.A.
If you or anyone you know is interested in becoming a Catholic, please join us for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) on Thursday nights at 7:30 PM in the school. Our weekly meetings are open to all parishioners as well and to anyone who would like to learn more about the faith. THURSDAY, MAY 9^TH, IS THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD AND IS A HOLYDAY OF OBLIGATION. MASSES WILL BE AT 8:00 AM AND 7:00 PM.

SECOND SUNDAY FOOD COLLECTION

On every second weekend, St. Cyril's will collect canned goods, staple items and non-perishables which will be donated to the local community Food Banks. This will benefit people in our community who have trouble putting food on the table for their families. Collection baskets will be marked and located in the main vestibule, as well as the two front Sacristy entrances of the church. Thank you in advance participation in this new venture for our parish!

Heavenly Father, you give us the gift of faith to know and believe all you reveal through your Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. May we live by these divine truths as members of the Holy Catholic Church and proclaim them joyfully to others with the witness of our lives. We ask this through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

THE OSTC PROGRAM

BLOCS is thrilled to announce that the state has passed a new tax credit program called the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC).
This great resource will assist Philadelphia's children living within the boundaries of one of the bottom 15% of low-achieving school districts. Pennsylvania's OSTC program will distribute $50 million dollars in tax credits to businesses willing to make a donation to BLOCS to fund scholarships for families seeking a high quality Catholic school education.

JOSEPH DONNELLY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

We are proud to announce that St. Cyril School received the First Annual Joseph Donnelly Achievement Award. This award was presented at the BLOCS 10^th Annual Scholarship Dinner which was held on Thursday, May 3^rd, at the National Constitution Center. The Donnelly Family designated $137,000 to BLOCS in memory of Mr. Donnelly for our school endowment. BLOCS matched this amount! The total amount that was awarded to the St. Cyril School Endowment Fund was $275,000. These funds remain with BLOCS to provide an endowment for our school. This endowment will give our school financial security. We are very grateful to the Donnelly Family and BLOCS for their generosity to our school.

If you would like a contribution statement of your donations to the parish for last year, please call the office (610-623-5160) and we will be happy to send one out to you or you can stop by and pick yours up during business hours. Thank you.

2013 MASS BOOK

The 2013 Mass Book is now open. Please stop by the rectory or call to make arrangements for your masses. Intentions are still $10 each. Sanctuary Lights will also be available for $10.

2012-2013 REGISTRATION NEWS

New this year! Full-day 4 year old Pre-K! Registration will be held in the school office from 9:00 AM � 11:00 AM and from 1:00 PM � 2:30 PM. Please call the school office at 610-623-1113 to make an appointment. The following are required for registration:

Birth Certificate must be presented (child must be 4 for Pre-K by September 1, 2012, 5 for Kindergarten by September 1, 2012 and 6 for First Grade by September 1, 2012.

Baptismal Certificate (if not baptized at St. Cyril).

Report card and all test results.

Complete Official Record of Immunization must be presented.

Registration Fee (non-refundable) of $100 per child.All required information must be taken care of before the registration is valid.
