Some of the craftsmanship of our parishioners is on display during the Lenten season.

This cross was designed by Fr. Burke and its construction was overseen by Rick Byrne. It is constructed of reinforcing rods used to strengthen concrete. The spaces in the center were designed to add to the visual effect.

| The two crosses above - one used in the planter in front of the Church during Lent and the Easter Season and the other in one of the gardens on the side of the Church year round - were constructed by parishioner Dick Kolhoff with Bob Burns of the parish staff. |
We had our annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday December 5, 2004 and once again a great time was had by all. Bob Burns did a great job lighting up the property. The East Lansdowne Fire Department brought a surprise guest. There was a performance by the cheerleaders with help from children of all ages, and the Knights of Columbus once again supplied refreshments for all.

This picture of St Cyril football team of 1954 was sent in by
Joe Lauro:
"We were undefeated until the last game of the season, the game ended in a tie,
but they gave the win to St. Rosalima because they had more first downs then we
did. I don't think there was a dry eye on the team. Our quarterback was Joe
Brogan, and our fullback was Jimmy Hoffman, Frankie Gallager is also in this
picture."
Fourth Of July

Our parish was very involved again this year with East Lansdowne's 4th of July Parade, starting with Father Kearns opening the celebration with a prayer. Here are some pictures of our parishioners enjoying the day.

ST. CYRIL CARNIVAL
Thank you to all who helped in any way, shape or form with our
27th Annual Parish Carnival. Chairperson Mike Keller and his committee did a
wonderful job, as always. Even though we had some rain the first two nights of
the carnival, it didn’t dampen the spirit. We are grateful to all involved in
our carnival for their dedication, energy and hard work all year long. The money
raised at the carnival will certainly help us pay some of our parish expenses.

May is the month of Mary. This Mother's Day our Legion
Of Mary once again distributed free rosaries after Masses.
Our Home & School Association was also busy this Mothers'
day with their annual plant sale.

The 75th Anniversary Committee meet on March
31, 2004 for a final meeting to wrap up and celebrate the accomplishments of the
last year. Shown below are members of the committee that were able to
attend.

Shown here is Committee Chairman Mike Keller
and an active member of the Committee Rob Flick with the medals that were
awarded to committee members.

The Knight's of Columbus and The Holy Name Society held a

Our 10:30 Mass on January 25, 2004 opened Catholic Schools Week. Our students did the lectors readings and brought up the gifts. They also gave a nice talk after Mass thanking Fr. Kearns, their teachers, their parents, and all the other parishioners whose support of the Church helps to support the school.
